Desolation Desolation

2011 Mixed Media: sawdust, acrylic paint, crackle medium on plywood. h: 120cm w: 90cm relief:0.5cm Tenth part of the depression series. Abstract landscape of the drought that has cripped our nation for decades especially our farmers. The sawdust is used to make the arid cracked landscape. It also resembles the death of vegetation and crops. The blood is for the loss of wildlife, livestock and the life of farmers who lost all hope and took their own lives. I feel a terrible loss for them and their families as I know what it is like to lose everything including the one you love. The first of the depression series which it not about my own depression. Freight is not included in sale price. thin black steel frame $50 extra
