Artist Profile

Glenys Gaston

Reading widely and studying the work of more adventurous artists has encouraged Glenys to develop and enjoy experimentation with other media. She regularly attends workshops run by highly respected Australian artists which she recommends as a most enjoyable journey of discovery for all artists. Glenys has had solo and shared gallery exhibitions throughout Victoria and is a regular exhibitor at regional art shows where she has gained a number of awards. She is a member of both the Bendigo Art Society and Peninsula Arts Society and has benefited immensely from the friendship, advices and encouragement that she has gained from these creative groups of people. Glenys was invited to prepare a 12-page watercolour demonstration for the Australian Artist magazine which was published in April 2010 and inspired by a visit to the Melbourne Garden Show. Her fresh and imaginative works are regularly exhibited at the Tin Shed Gallery, Malmsbury, Victoria and a selection of work can be viewed at her website.
