Roger Hjorleifson
Roger Hjorleifson FRSASA
Roger Hjorleifson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1963. His family moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada when Roger was 4 years old and at that age he started to show his artistic talent through modelling clay. He travelled to Australia when he was 19, eventually arriving in Adelaide, South Australia, where he married, has two children, and still resides.
Roger is a self-taught artist. He began sculpting in 2001 and has achieved remarkable success since that time, winning several prestigious awards. He is a member of the Red House Group, Council member of The Wildlife Art Society of Australasia, and a Fellow of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts. His work can be found in collections around the world, both in the private and public sectors. He also works on commissions.
