GRAND DEEP is an original expressionist painting of an Australian forest with highly decorative appeal. Featuring overlaid textures, the work allows the viewer to enter in and explore the striking composition. Glowing emerald greens are a feature. The painting was inspired by an area of Bouddi National Park known as "the Grand Deep", rich in native vegetation as it sweeps down to the sea. Executed on canvas attached to a stretcher frame, the painting extends around all edges to give a 3D effect.
